A refuge for the fauna and flora of the Atlantic Forest, especially the Juçara Palm, a critically endangered species that generously provides the most nutritious açaí in Brazil. Surrounded by this stunning nature, the sensation is one of deep connection, heightened senses and immersion in the surrounding environment.

We are a family-run guest retreat with two unique spaces: Casa Juçara, a glass cabin immersed in the forest, and Casa Tucano, a spacious home with rustic charm and plenty of room to relax. Each accommodation was designed to offer comfort, privacy, and a deep connection with nature—always maintaining that warm, welcoming feeling of a home away from home.
Located in the Pântano do Sul / Armação region, we are just minutes from the beaches of Matadeiro, Açores, and Lagoinha do Leste—as well as trails, waterfalls, dunes, and the area’s famous local cuisine. Whether you’re seeking rest, romance, a digital detox, a family getaway, or creative inspiration, Refúgio Juçara offers a safe, peaceful space filled with good energy.
Our 2,200 m² property features green areas, a fire pit, hammocks, ocean views, and the constant soothing sound of the forest. It’s the ideal place for anyone looking to reconnect with nature without giving up comfort.
